Lora Hristova finishes seventh at Dresden City Biathlon

Bulgarian biathlete Lora Hristova finished seventh in the prestigious Dresden City Biathlon summer event held in Germany. Hristova was one of only ten female athletes to receive a personal invitation to compete in the street race.

The competition featured a mass start with four shooting stages using laser weapons and five 2km laps. Missed shots resulted in a shortened penalty lap of approximately 10 seconds. Czech athlete Tereza Vorborikova won the gold medal, finishing as the only competitor with a perfect shooting record. Anna Gändler of Austria took second place, followed by Olympic champion Lisa Vittozzi of Italy in third.

In the men's category, Germany's Justus Strelow secured first place, with Eric Perrot of France and Lukas Hofer of Italy finishing second and third, respectively. The event is part of an initiative by the International Biathlon Union (IBU) to increase the prominence of summer biathlon competitions.
