L'Oréal Turkey launches reverse mentorship for women over 50
L'Oréal Turkey expanded its 50+ Tech Women Guru program in its 40th anniversary year by adding a reverse‑mentorship model. Women aged 50 and above are paired with younger female mentors – L'Oréal staff and university students studying STEM – for a six‑month, monthly online learning journey. The curriculum grew from 12 to 25 modules, focusing on narrowing the digital‑skill gap and promoting inclusive access to technology.
The initiative aligns with L'Oréal’s global gender‑equality commitments, highlighted by its ranking ninth in the Equileap 2025 Gender Equality Report and inclusion among the top 50 companies in the DIAL Global Index 2025. Country General Manager Vanya Panayotova said the program aims to break the stereotype that “people over 50 cannot adapt to digital transformation,” combining the digital expertise of younger women with the life experience of older participants.
