Global power outages reported due to maintenance and technical failures

Various regions across Latin America and Spain are experiencing electrical service disruptions due to both unplanned failures and scheduled maintenance.

In Argentina, approximately 9,000 users in San Juan lost power following a national frequency issue, though service was restored within 20 minutes. In Necochea and Quequén, a medium-voltage feeder failure at a thermoelectric plant caused a two-hour outage. Additionally, EPEC has scheduled maintenance and new works affecting Córdoba, Río Cuarto, and Villa María through early September.

In Brazil, Âmbar Energia announced scheduled outages in five neighborhoods of Manaus for preventive maintenance and network expansion. In Colombia, Enel reported planned interruptions in several Bogotá localities, including Bosa, Kennedy, and Puente Aranda, to facilitate network improvements.

In Chile, Enel is conducting maintenance and modernization works in the Santiago Metropolitan Region, affecting communes such as Pudahuel, Santiago, and Maipú. In Spain, the municipality of Lorca has scheduled a temporary power cut in the Saprelorca industrial park for infrastructure improvements managed by Iberdrola.
