Lorca Castle rescue: Man injured after falling from wall

A 30-year-old man was rescued in the early hours of Sunday after falling from a wall at the Lorca Castle in Murcia, Spain. The accident occurred around 11:50 PM while the man was attending an event at a restaurant located within the castle grounds.

Emergency services, including the National Police, Lorca Local Police, and 061 medical staff, responded to the scene. Because the man had fallen onto a steep and difficult-to-access slope, firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium had to deploy specialized high-angle rescue equipment.

Rescuers successfully reached the man at 2:16 AM. Although he was conscious, he reported severe back pain. Following stabilization by medical personnel, he was transported to the Hospital Rafael Méndez for further examination and to assess potential internal injuries.
