Lorca Mayor supports Cruz Roja during ‘Día de la Banderita’

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, visited Cruz Roja donation tables in Plaza de España to mark ‘Día de la Banderita’. The initiative aims to raise funds for social projects and increase visibility for the organization’s humanitarian work.

Gil praised the dedication of volunteers and professionals in supporting vulnerable groups, including children and the elderly. Donation stations have been established at several locations in the city, including Plaza de España, calle Corredera, Plaza de la Estrella, and Alameda de la Constitución.

The collaboration between the Lorca City Council and Cruz Roja includes ongoing joint actions such as heatwave response, HIV prevention campaigns, and support for vulnerable populations.
