Lord Allan Velasco linked to NBI raids and bribery allegations

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) conducted raids on several properties in Valle Verde, Pasig, allegedly linked to former House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco and his wife, Rowena. The operation, which followed reports of high-powered firearms on the premises, resulted in the recovery of ammunition, firearm magazines, and identification cards belonging to security and police personnel.

The investigation stems from a sworn affidavit by dismissed police officer Rodulfo Gracioso Jr., who alleged that Velasco instructed him to deliver suitcases containing large sums of money to members of the Duterte family. Velasco has denied these allegations, describing them as fabricated.

Immigration records indicate that Lord Allan Velasco departed for Nagoya, Japan, on August 30, and Rowena Velasco traveled to Hong Kong on September 24. As of the latest reports, neither has returned to the Philippines as expected. The NBI intends to issue invitation letters to the couple to allow them to respond to the allegations.
