Lord’s Mark Industries advances AI wearable for breast cancer screening

Lord’s Mark Industries Limited has announced that its Technical Committee has approved the final clinical trial stage for an AI-powered, radiation-free wearable breast cancer screening device. Developed in collaboration with the Centre for Materials for Electronic Technology (C-MET), the device utilizes thermal sensors and AI-based temperature mapping to identify abnormalities.

Following the completion of clinical trials in India, Phase 2 trials are scheduled to begin in January 2027. These trials will take place across India, the United States, Great Britain, and Europe, aiming for a cell-level detection accuracy of 98%.

The company aims to complete final trials and regulatory milestones by March 2027, with a potential commercial launch in April 2027, pending clinical outcomes and approvals. Regulatory processes are currently underway with the CDSCO in India, while the company pursues FDA pathways in the US and conformity requirements in Europe. Additionally, Lord’s Mark is seeking the technology’s inclusion in national screening programs and exploring insurance coverage options through the IRDAI.
