Loreena McKennitt announces definitive edition of The Mask and Mirror

Canadian singer-songwriter Loreena McKennitt is releasing ‘The Mask and Mirror Definitive Edition’ on October 9 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her 1994 album. This limited-edition deluxe release features a four-disc set including two CDs, a DVD, and an audio Blu-ray, all housed in a hardcover volume.

The collection includes previously unreleased archival materials from 1994 and 1995, such as photographs, interviews, a dress rehearsal, and audio recordings of performances. It also features a 32-page booklet with original artwork and a four-part personal narration by McKennitt regarding the travels that inspired the music and the album's recording process.

The mastering was handled by three-time JUNO Award winner Jeff Wolpert of Desert Fish, while the graphic design was completed by Grammy winner Jeri Heiden of Smog Design, Inc. The release follows the 2021 publication of ‘The Visit Definitive Edition’. To support the release, McKennitt will embark on a two-continent tour, scheduled for Canada in the autumn of 2026 and Europe in the spring of 2027.
