Lorena and Benjamin celebrate Brazilian-Korean wedding in Rio

Lorena, an anesthesiologist, and Benjamin, a thoracic surgeon, celebrated their wedding on September 12, 2026, in Areal, within the Rio de Janeiro mountains. The ceremony, held at Vale dos Desejos, brought together approximately 120 guests to celebrate the union of Brazilian and Korean cultures.

The celebration featured elements from both heritages, including Korean gastronomy, the paebaek tradition, and cherry blossoms alongside local hydrangeas. The couple, who met professionally at Hospital Cruzeiro do Sul in São Paulo, had previously marked their engagement in Petrópolis in February 2024.
