Lorenia Valles assumes Morena coordination in Sonora

Lorenia Valles Sampedro has assumed her role as the coordinator of the Committees for the Defense of Transformation and National Sovereignty for the Morena party in Sonora. Her appointment follows an internal selection process conducted via a survey involving approximately 1,200 households to gauge public perception beyond party militants.

Valles Sampedro has emphasized her commitment to maintaining unity within the movement and plans to hold meetings with other candidates who participated in the internal contest to seek agreements. Judith Armenta Cota, the state leader of Morena, highlighted Valles's 30-year political trajectory within the left-wing movement in Sonora.

Javier Lamarque, the municipal president of Cajeme, has officially confirmed his support for Valles, calling for local leadership to prioritize unity to ensure the stability of the state's political agenda and the continuity of the party's transformation projects.
