Lorenz Snacks adopts CHEP circular pallet pooling model

Lorenz Snacks GmbH & Co KG has transitioned its entire pallet requirement to the pooling system provided by CHEP. This move aims to implement a circular economy model across the snack manufacturer's three German production sites in Hankensbüttel, Neunburg vorm Wald, and Kreba-Neudorf.

Under the ‘Share and Reuse’ principle, CHEP manages the return, inspection, and repair of pallets, allowing them to be reused multiple times within a shared network rather than being exchanged directly between individual companies. Stefan Bender, Head of Logistics at Lorenz, stated that the pooling system allows the company to combine sustainable practices with stable processes and high delivery reliability by utilizing existing resources for as long as possible.
