Lorenzo Antinori turns Hong Kong bar into world-class cocktail destination

Lorenzo Antinori, a Roman bartender, has established Bar Leone in Hong Kong as one of the world’s top cocktail bars. His journey began in Rome before he moved to London to work at the prestigious Savoy Hotel, where he learned the discipline and standards of high-end mixology.

After working in Korea, Antinori moved to Hong Kong and partnered with Justin to launch Bar Leone. The project faced significant hurdles, including licensing and permit delays that pushed the opening back by three months. Despite a slow start on its first day, the establishment eventually achieved international acclaim, characterized by long queues and global recognition within the cocktail industry.
