Lorenzo Bundy reaches 28th season managing in Mexican Pacific League

Lorenzo Bundy is set to make history in the Mexican Pacific League as he begins his 28th season managing the Tomateros de Culiacán. This milestone allows him to surpass Francisco Paquín Estrada for the most seasons managed in the league's history. Bundy, who has managed seven of the league's ten teams, has previously secured three championships with the Mayos de Navojoa, Naranjeros de Hermosillo, and Venados de Mazatlán.

Regarding the team's roster, pitcher Luis Cessa has secured a spot in the Tomateros' starting rotation for the first two series of the 2026-2027 season following a strong preseason. Cessa, a former New York Yankees player, is scheduled to make his first start against the Cañeros de Los Mochis. The inaugural rotation under Bundy will also include Norge Ruiz, Manny Barreda, Ricardo Estrada, and Víctor Castañeda.
