Lorenzo Mirandola releases book on aurora borealis hunting

Environmental engineer and social media personality Lorenzo Mirandola is releasing his first book, ‘Quando il cielo si accende – La mia vita a caccia di aurore Boreali’, published by Rizzoli. Mirandola, known as an ‘Aurora Hunter’ with 600,000 Instagram followers, documented his experiences chasing the northern lights, including seeing over 210 instances in a single season.

The book combines an autobiographical narrative with field photography, detailing the challenges of pursuing unpredictable natural phenomena. It aims to provide both an immersive visual experience and technical insights into the aurora borealis using accessible language.
