Lorenzo Vita elected secretary of Partito Democratico in Cassino

The Partito Democratico (PD) in Cassino has concluded its congress with a unified leadership team elected by acclamation. This outcome follows months of internal tension between the party's main factions, AreaDem and Rete Democratica.

Lorenzo Vita has been elected secretary. Vita, who previously served as president of ANPI Cassino, is noted for his background in journalism and political activism. Fernando Cardarelli has been appointed president, while Walter Bianchi and Francesco Torrice will serve as vice-secretaries.

The new leadership aims to move past internal divisions and focus on political direction within the territory. The congress marks a generational renewal for the local party branch and seeks to strengthen its role within the center-left political landscape in the Frosinone province.
