Latin American judicial systems report various criminal convictions and investigations

Various legal and criminal incidents have been reported across Latin America. In Peru, former school director Javier Isminio received a four-year prison sentence for embezzling educational funds. In Paraguay, the Supreme Court upheld a 28-year sentence for Oscar Ariel Caballero Sahlmann for the murder of former official Javier Ibarra, while in Caazapá, a man was detained for threatening his partner with a machete.

In Venezuela, authorities clarified the femicide of Stefani Carolina Tovar Ceballos, leading to the arrest of her ex-partner, Gustavo Eduardo Reyes Solorzano, in Monagas. In the Dominican Republic, the appeals court has deferred a ruling regarding the work permit of Donni Santana, who is serving a 20-year sentence for sexual assault.

In Honduras, a woman was detained in Tela for domestic violence against her partner. Additionally, a cyclist in Argentina was hospitalized following a collision with a truck, and a man in Panama was ordered into provisional detention following a fatal drunk-driving incident.
