Loreto traditions celebrated through parish twinning and festivals in Italy

In Italy, several events are honoring the tradition of Loreto. In Livorno, the Santa Teresa di Calcutta parish has been aggregated to the Pontifical Sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto. This marks the first time a church in Tuscany has established such a twinning, aimed at bringing Loreto's Marian devotion and spiritual practices closer to the local community.

Meanwhile, in Cirié, the Borgo Loreto Association is organizing the 'Funghi in Piazza' festivities from September 4 to 7. The four-day event includes religious celebrations in honor of the Blessed Virgin of Loreto, contemporary art exhibitions, musical entertainment, and local gastronomic traditions such as the 'Agnolottata'.
