Lori J. Robinson named godmother of Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas

Royal Caribbean has named retired U.S. Air Force Gen. Lori J. Robinson as the official godmother of its newest Icon Class cruise ship, Legend of the Seas. Robinson is a pioneering military leader who served as the first female combatant commander and previously led both NORAD and U.S. Northern Command.

The ship’s official naming ceremony is scheduled for November 11 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Held on Veterans Day, the event aims to recognize the service of veterans, active-duty military members, and military families while officially welcoming the vessel to the United States following its summer debut in Europe.
