Loris Capirossi named MotoGP Legend at Misano
Loris Capirossi has been officially inducted into the MotoGP Legend circle during the San Marino Grand Prix in Misano. The honor recognizes a career spanning over two decades, from 1990 to 2011.
Capirossi holds the record as the youngest world champion in motorcycle racing history, having secured the 125cc title in 1991 at the age of 17 years and 165 days. Throughout his career, he achieved three world championships, including the 125cc title and the 250cc title in 1998.
In the premier class, Capirossi secured nine Grand Prix victories, including a notable win for Ducati in Barcelona in 2003. He finished third in the world championship standings twice, in the 500cc class in 2001 and the MotoGP class in 2006.
