Loro Piana opens new flagship store in Omotesando, Tokyo

Italian luxury maison Loro Piana has opened a new flagship store in the Omotesando district of Tokyo. The four-story location features a facade designed by architect Jun Aoki, utilizing over 1,400 custom-made terracotta tiles from Tuscany to evoke the appearance of textile warp threads.

The store houses a variety of collections, including accessories and leather goods on the first floor, womenswear on the second, and a home collection on the third. The third floor also includes exclusive, reservation-only VIP rooms for men and women.

A notable feature of this location is the Loro Piana Atelier on the basement level. This space is dedicated to showcasing the maison’s expertise in rare natural fibers, such as vicuña and baby cashmere, and provides repair and care services to ensure the longevity of their garments. To celebrate the opening, the store will host the “Master of Fibres” installation from October 29 to November 1, featuring historical archives and sculptural displays of cashmere fibers.
