Los Alcarrizos Vice Mayor joins Fuerza del Pueblo
Political shifts are occurring in the Dominican Republic as various figures move between major parties. Felicia Santos Frías, the Vice Mayor of Los Alcarrizos, has officially left the Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) to join the Fuerza del Pueblo (FP). She was sworn in by FP president Leonel Fernández alongside a group of more than 300 individuals, including community leaders, professionals, and merchants.
Santos Frías stated her decision was based on confidence in Fernández’s leadership, describing him as a visionary leader. She noted that her move represents a collective effort by a team seeking better opportunities for families and youth in Los Alcarrizos.
In other political developments, Carolina Mejía, a presidential aspirant for the PRM, has received support from Rafael Santos and the Mi Familia por el Cambio movement during an event in Moca. Additionally, the political team of PRM presidential aspirant Wellington Arnaud held a regional meeting in La Vega to establish growth strategies for the Cibao Central provinces.
