Los Alcázares implements year-round tourism and infrastructure projects

The municipality of Los Alcázares is implementing strategies to promote year-round tourism and improve local infrastructure near the Mar Menor. Mayor Mario Pérez Cervera is overseeing projects aimed at extending the visitor season beyond the summer months through a combination of nautical sports, cultural festivals, and gastronomy.

Key initiatives include the new Las Salinas Nautical Beach and the ‘Siente el Mar Menor’ regatta calendar. Recent data indicates strong seasonal performance, with accommodation occupancy reaching 71% in June and exceeding 86% during the first half of July. The municipality is also focusing on urban renewal, water management, and flood protection to support both residents and tourists.
