Los Ancones celebrates traditional Romería Marinera

Los Ancones celebrated its traditional Romería Marinera as part of the Fiestas del Risco. The event featured a procession through the streets of Teguise, bringing together residents and visitors to honor local folklore and religious traditions.

For the first time, the procession included both Nuestra Señora de Candelaria and San Juan Bautista. This dual celebration follows a project by the Las Velas Neighborhood Association to restore the town's historical symbols. The images were acquired from Tenerife and Italy, respectively, fulfilling a historical commitment linked to the town's founders, Juanito and Guillermina.

The festivities concluded with the Noche de Parrandas Juanito y Guillermina, featuring musical performances by the Agrupación Folclórica Guagime and the group La Arrancadilla.
