Los Andes hosts first Intergenerational Knowledge Encounter
The municipality of Los Andes, Sotomayor, hosted the 2026 Intergenerational Knowledge Encounter to preserve local traditions and cultural expressions. The event brought together elderly residents and youth to share ancestral knowledge, including weaving, traditional medicine, music, poetry, and local cuisine.
Luisa Rosales Rodríguez, the Secretary of Government of Los Andes, noted that this was the first fair of its kind in the municipality. The initiative was supported by the Mesa de Víctimas and the Municipal Youth Council. To encourage the conservation of local heritage, the municipal administration awarded participants with official certificates and incentive bonuses.
