LA28 Olympics surpasses 6 million tickets sold

Ticket sales for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics have surpassed 6 million, with organizers reporting that the vast majority of available inventory has been sold. This milestone follows two major sales drops and a Visa presale.

During the second sales window, standard tickets for all aquatics sports—including swimming, water polo, and diving—sold out. LA28 Chairperson and President Casey Wasserman stated that the high demand serves as a “powerful signal that the world is energized for LA28.”

Future ticket opportunities will change format. The next release, scheduled for 2027, will operate on a first-come, first-served basis rather than a lottery or timed slot system. Unlike previous drops, there will be no limit on the number of tickets a single fan can purchase. Additionally, 2027 will see the launch of the first Paralympic ticket drop and the introduction of a verified resale program.
