Los Angeles 2028 Olympics schedule tennis events just days after Wimbledon
The International Tennis Federation has announced that the tennis competition at the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics will run from July 19 to July 28. Singles events begin on July 20 and finish on July 28, doubles run from July 21 to July 27, and mixed doubles are slated for July 19‑20. All matches will be held at the Carson Courts complex in the Carson Zone, which will feature eleven outdoor hard courts, including a central court with a 10,000‑seat capacity.
The Olympic tennis programme starts only three days after the Wimbledon Championships conclude on July 16, leaving players little time to travel and recover. Experts and athletes warn that the compressed timeline could force early withdrawals from Wimbledon or cause fatigue, sparking debate over the practicality of the schedule. French tennis journalist José Morgado described the timing as “dingue”.
