Los Angeles 2028 Olympics ticket registrations exceed 12 million

Organizers of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games announced that more than 12 million fans have registered for a chance to purchase tickets, making it the highest‑demand ticketed event in Olympic history. Registrations come from over 200 countries and every U.S. state. The surge follows the launch of the LA28 Visa Presale, which gave selected Visa cardholders early access to tickets from July 29‑31. Those not selected will have a second opportunity during Drop 2, scheduled for August 10‑20.

Local demand dominated the first ticket drop, with residents of Los Angeles and Oklahoma City accounting for roughly 75 % of tickets sold, including 95 % of inventory priced below $100. Fans may buy up to 12 Olympic event tickets plus 12 football tournament tickets, with ceremony tickets capped at four per purchaser. The LA28 Community Ticket Program will provide 1,000 free tickets to local organizations, funded by a $5 million donation from the Los Angeles Rams.
