Los Angeles 405 Freeway experiences rush hour chaos due to roadway debris

At least 10 vehicles were disabled during Monday morning rush hour on the southbound 405 Freeway in Encino, Los Angeles. The California Highway Patrol reported that the vehicles suffered blown or flattened tires after striking a debris field in the roadway.

The debris, described as metal rods or similar objects, was located near Mulholland Drive. While the incident resulted in only one lane being shut down, the high volume of morning traffic caused substantial backups and congestion throughout the area. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
