Los Angeles activist attacked during anti-Islam rally

A peaceful anti-Islam rally in Los Angeles turned violent when a group of counter-protesters, described as Antifa activists, stormed the Precious Blood Catholic Church in Koreatown on August 23.

Conservative activist Eoin Richard Connolly had originally planned to hold the ‘Take Back LA’ free-speech demonstration outside the Islamic Center of Southern California. Due to the presence of counter-protesters, Connolly relocated his supporters to the nearby Catholic church for safety. However, the group followed the rally to the church, where they disrupted the gathering.

Reports indicate that Connolly was physically assaulted and thrown out of the church. He was subsequently chased to a nearby Starbucks, where the confrontation continued. Video footage shows the group surrounding Connolly and another man, dousing them with blue paint while shouting insults.
