Los Angeles Angels fall to last in AL West after loss to Royals

The Los Angeles Angels fell back into last place in the American League West following a 7-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals in Anaheim. Despite a three-game winning streak that briefly moved them into fourth place, the defeat combined with an Oakland Athletics victory returned the Angels to the bottom of the division by a half-game.

Nolan Schanuel led the Angels' offense, going 2-for-4 with four runs batted in, including a three-run double. Other contributors included Zach Neto, who hit an RBI single, and Josh Lowe, who hit a solo home run. The Royals secured the win behind run-scoring singles from Joe Caglianone and Michael Massey.

In organizational news, the Angels have recently replaced several coaches as they attempt to improve their standing. There is ongoing speculation regarding the job security of manager Kurt Suzuki, as the team has historically utilized short-term contracts for field leadership.
