Los Angeles area fatal crashes claim two lives
Two separate fatal vehicle collisions occurred in the Los Angeles area recently.
In Koreatown, 33-year-old Ittai Rodriguez, a mother of two, was killed while making a food delivery. According to Los Angeles police, Rodriguez's vehicle was struck by a speeding Mercedes-Maybach SUV, causing her car to spin into a pole. The driver of the Mercedes-Maybach was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence. A candlelight vigil was held by family and friends to honor her memory.
In West Rancho Dominguez, 35-year-old Kiah Reed died from traumatic injuries following a multi-vehicle collision near Rosecrans Avenue and Main Street. The crash reportedly involved at least three vehicles, including an Audi, a Toyota Sienna, and a Tesla. Authorities have not yet clarified if Reed was a driver, passenger, or pedestrian, though the medical examiner noted she died on a sidewalk. One other person was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
