Los Angeles businessman pistol-whipped and robbed in Fashion District

Two masked men attacked Israeli business owner Ronan Vered in broad daylight on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Los Angeles Fashion District. Surveillance footage shows the suspects, dressed in black, exiting a black sedan and rushing Vered as he stood in his store's doorway.

The attackers held a gun to Vered's head and beat him to the ground while customers were present inside the shop. During the assault, one suspect pistol-whipped Vered, leaving blood on the ground. The suspects then forcibly removed a Rolex watch, valued at approximately $50,000, from his wrist before fleeing in their vehicle.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed officers responded to the robbery in the 1100 block of East 12th Street. Police have issued a crime bulletin for two Black male suspects traveling in a black sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
