Los Angeles community honors NBC4 pilot and reporter killed in crash
A memorial service was held at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church in Los Angeles to honor NBC4 helicopter pilot George Marciniw and reporter Eliana Moreno.
The two were killed in a helicopter crash in Chatsworth last week while performing news coverage. The accident also claimed the life of 29-year-old bystander Edy Gutierrez Mejia, who was on the ground at the time.
During the service, Father Koshik delivered an English sermon to honor Marciniw, who was a long-time member of the Little Armenia community parish. Friends and parishioners gathered to remember Marciniw as an easy-going individual and a skilled pilot.
