Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department hosts Boots & Badges Chili Cook-Off

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) partnered with Special Olympics of Southern California for the Boots & Badges Chili Cook-Off held at the Jack Bones Equestrian Center in Castaic. All proceeds from the event benefit Special Olympics programs, which provide inclusive sports opportunities for people with disabilities.

The event featured over 20 themed chili booths, including western-themed entries and various creative concepts. In addition to the culinary competition, the cook-off included vendors, a kids’ corner with sports games and crafts, a mobile petting zoo, and displays of LASD vehicles, including helicopters and classic police cars.
