Los Angeles declares Billy Idol Day ahead of Rock Hall induction
The City of Los Angeles has proclaimed November 13 as ‘Billy Idol Day’ to honor the musician ahead of his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. To celebrate, Idol and longtime guitarist Steve Stevens will perform a free acoustic duo set on the steps of City Hall in Downtown Los Angeles.
Idol’s induction ceremony is scheduled for the following evening at the Peacock Theater. He is part of the 2026 induction class, which includes artists such as Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Oasis, and Wu-Tang Clan.
In a separate recognition of his musical legacy, the ‘Comunidad Indie Hoy’ recently conducted a vote to determine his best album. The 1983 release ‘Rebel Yell’ secured the top spot with 80% of the votes, followed by ‘Charmed Life’ with 20%.
