Los Angeles Dodgers face mixed fortunes in Division Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers are facing mixed results during their Division Series against the Atlanta Braves. Shohei Ohtani has struggled offensively, recording only two hits in 13 at-bats during the first four games. This slump, combined with concerns regarding his physical condition, has led to media speculation that he may require surgery during the off-season.

In contrast, reliever Edwin Diaz has shown significant improvement. After a difficult regular season marked by injuries and an 8.68 ERA, Diaz has pitched three consecutive scoreless appearances in the postseason. Manager Dave Roberts expressed renewed confidence in Diaz, utilizing him to secure a 3-1 victory in the third game of the series.
