Los Angeles Dodgers face roster and leadership uncertainty

The Los Angeles Dodgers are navigating several organizational challenges following their postseason exit. Catcher Dalton Rushing has undergone hybrid right elbow surgery, a procedure that is expected to prevent him from playing the catcher position for approximately nine months. While he may be able to hit by the start of next season, his role remains uncertain given the team's current roster depth.

Management is also facing scrutiny regarding personnel and leadership. Following a four-game sweep by the Milwaukee Brewers in the League Championship Series, media reports have suggested that manager Dave Roberts could face dismissal if the team's performance continues to decline.

Additionally, the team must address upcoming free agency decisions. Discussions are ongoing regarding the potential re-signing of utility player Kiké Hernández and the pursuit of pitcher Talic Skubal, who is expected to be a highly sought-after free agent. While the New York Mets are considered a primary competitor for Skubal, analysts suggest the Dodgers' winning culture may provide a competitive advantage.
