Los Angeles Dodgers face roster decisions for top prospects

The Los Angeles Dodgers are approaching critical roster deadlines regarding several key prospects. To prevent losing talent in the Rule 5 Draft, the organization must decide whether to add four specific players to their 40-man roster. These players include pitchers Christian Zazueta, Jackson Ferris, and Adam Serwinowski, as well as position player Jake Gelof.

Christian Zazueta, the team’s top pitching prospect, has recently been promoted to Double-A and is considered a likely candidate for the 40-man roster. Jackson Ferris, currently pitching in Triple-A, is noted for his versatility as both a starter and a reliever.

Additionally, the team is evaluating the long-term role of top prospect Josue De Paula. Following a late-season call-up where he demonstrated significant hitting potential, the organization is focusing on improving his outfield defense to ensure he can secure a consistent spot in the lineup for the 2027 season.
