Los Angeles Dodgers linked to potential trade for Zach Neto
A potential major trade proposal has emerged involving the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Angels. According to reporter Matt Levin of Heavy, the Dodgers could target Angels infielder Zach Neto to address roster aging and positional needs.
To acquire the 25-year-old Neto, who recorded 27 home runs this season, the Dodgers would reportedly need to package pitcher Roki Sasaki, pitcher Justin Wrobleski, and catcher Dalton Rushing. While Levin noted that the Dodgers are unlikely to agree to such a high price, he suggested that the Angels should “hesitate not to call” if the Dodgers show willingness to negotiate.
Acquiring Neto could allow the Dodgers to utilize him at shortstop or third base, potentially shifting Mookie Betts to a different position. This move is viewed as a way to bolster the team's long-term competitiveness alongside aging stars like Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman.
