Los Angeles Dodgers recall Kim Hye-seong for postseason evaluation
The Los Angeles Dodgers have recalled infielder Kim Hye-seong from their Triple-A affiliate, the Oklahoma City Comets. This move follows the conclusion of the minor league regular season and is intended to allow the coaching staff to evaluate him for potential inclusion in the postseason roster.
While Kim’s offensive statistics this season—a .259 batting average and .651 OPS in 43 Major League games—have been viewed as modest, his defensive utility and base-running speed are considered valuable assets. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has indicated that the team will monitor Kim closely before making a final decision regarding the National League Division Series (NLDS) roster.
Kim faces competition for the final roster spots against other players such as prospect Josue De Paula and Alex Call. The Dodgers, who have won the World Series in both 2024 and 2025, are currently aiming for a historic third consecutive championship.
