Blake Snell returns to Dodgers rotation after elbow injury layoff

Blake Snell has made his return to the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers following a three-month absence due to surgery to remove loose bodies from his left elbow. In his first start back against the Kansas City Royals, the two-time Cy Young Award winner pitched six innings, allowing one run and three hits while striking out 10 batters.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts noted Snell’s efficiency and command during the outing. The pitcher had been sidelined since May 9 and underwent a NanoNeedle procedure to expedite his recovery. His return provides a boost to a Dodgers pitching rotation that has dealt with multiple injuries this season, including those to Tyler Glasnow and Blake Treinen.
