Los Angeles Korean Festival draws 300,000 attendees
The 53rd annual Los Angeles Korean Festival concluded its four-day celebration at Seoul International Park in Koreatown. Held under the theme ‘LA Arirang’, the event drew approximately 300,000 attendees despite high temperatures.
The festival featured a wide array of cultural activities, including K-pop and hip-hop performances, traditional Korean dance, and hands-on demonstrations such as kimchi making and calligraphy. The final night included performances by hip-hop and R&B artists Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae.
A major highlight was the Korean Food and Agricultural Goods Expo, which functioned similarly to a traditional marketplace. Vendors from eight different Korean provinces sold regional specialties and traditional goods. Many exhibitors, including both longtime participants and first-time vendors, reported high demand and near-sellouts of various products.
