Los Angeles Lakers adjust roster and defensive strategy

The Los Angeles Lakers are adjusting their roster and defensive strategies ahead of the upcoming NBA season. New signing Collin Sexton has praised Austin Reaves for his work ethic and leadership, noting Reaves' ability to impact the game through both scoring and unselfish play.

Defensively, the team is expected to benefit from the addition of center Walker Kessler, a noted rim protector. Analysts suggest that Kessler’s presence may allow players like Quentin Grimes to take on more aggressive full-court pressing roles, improving the team's overall defensive pressure.

In terms of roster construction, trade speculation has linked the Lakers to potential moves to bolster their three-point shooting. One hypothetical scenario involves a trade with the Charlotte Hornets to acquire Grayson Allen in exchange for Jarred Vanderbilt and Jaden Hardy.
