Los Angeles Lakers maintain undefeated start amid roster changes

The Los Angeles Lakers have begun the 2026-27 NBA season with a 3-0 record, securing victories against the Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, and Utah Jazz. Despite the strong start, the team is managing several injuries. Cameron Carr is sidelined with a right oblique strain, while Adou Thiero continues to deal with swelling in his left knee. Additionally, Walker Kessler is managing a finger issue.

On the developmental front, the Lakers’ G League affiliate, Coachella Valley, has been active in roster adjustments. Following the G League Draft, the organization completed a trade with the Dallas Mavericks’ affiliate, the Texas Legends. The Lakers acquired the returning player rights to center Derek Ogbeide and a 2028 first-round draft pick in exchange for the rights to guard Adam Flagler and a 2027 second-round selection.
