Los Angeles Lakers sign Walker Kessler to four-year deal

The Los Angeles Lakers have bolstered their roster by signing center Walker Kessler through a sign-and-trade deal with the Utah Jazz. The four-year, $130 million contract aims to address the team's defensive needs by providing rim protection and a presence near the basket.

Lakers head coach JJ Redick expressed optimism regarding Kessler’s fit alongside guards Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. Redick noted that Kessler is expected to serve as a defensive anchor, a role the team has struggled with due to frequent position switching in recent seasons.
