Los Angeles Lakers target three free agents including Jalen Duren

The Los Angeles Lakers have entered the 2026 free‑agent market with a $52 million salary cap space, focusing on adding depth to their roster. Their top priority is 22‑year‑old center Jalen Duren, a former Detroit Pistons prospect who posted 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game last season and earned his first All‑Star selection. The Lakers are also in talks with Georgian forward‑center Sandro Mamukelashvili, who declined a $2.8 million player option with the Toronto Raptors and is expected to seek a contract of $10 million or more. The third name is veteran shooter Gary Trent Jr., who is expected to become a free agent after declining a $3.9 million option with the Milwaukee Bucks and could provide reliable perimeter scoring for Los Angeles.
