Los Angeles proclaims Billy Idol Day to honor rock legend
The City of Los Angeles has proclaimed November 13, 2026, as ‘Billy Idol Day’ to honor the rock musician and his longtime collaborator, guitarist Steve Stevens. Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez will present the decree during a City Council session.
Following the official proclamation, a free public celebration will be held at City Hall Park in Downtown Los Angeles. The event will feature an acoustic duo performance by Idol and Stevens, along with surprise guests.
The festivities serve as a prelude to the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which is scheduled for November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Idol and Stevens are part of the 2026 induction class, which includes artists such as Iron Maiden, Oasis, and Phil Collins.
