Los Angeles Rams acquire Myles Garrett in blockbuster trade with Cleveland Browns

The Los Angeles Rams completed a major trade, sending defensive end Jared Verse and three future draft picks (a 2027 first‑rounder, a 2028 second‑rounder and a 2029 third‑rounder) to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for two‑time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett. The move gives the Rams a premier pass rusher as they aim for a Super Bowl, while the Browns acquire valuable draft capital to rebuild after a period of limited success.

Garrett, 30, joins a Rams squad already featuring quarterback Matthew Stafford and a strong offensive line. He expressed optimism about the trade and noted he has not yet spoken with former Ram Aaron Donald, whose possible return has been rumored. The Browns, meanwhile, plan to use the acquired picks to reshape the roster or pursue a franchise quarterback in future drafts.
