Los Angeles Rams reacquire Tutu Atwell from Miami Dolphins

The Los Angeles Rams have reacquired wide receiver Tutu Atwell from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for running back Jarquez Hunter. Atwell, who spent his first five NFL seasons with the Rams, had signed a one-year contract with Miami during the offseason but struggled to secure a consistent role in their offense.

The Rams' decision to bring back Atwell provides veteran depth at the wide receiver position, which is a noted area of concern for the team. The move serves as potential insurance for the roster, particularly as the team awaits news regarding a possible suspension for star receiver Puka Nacua. Atwell's familiarity with head coach Sean McVay’s offensive system is expected to be a key factor in his reintegration.

In return, the Miami Dolphins receive Jarquez Hunter, a running back selected by the Rams in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Dolphins are looking to bolster their backfield depth following injuries and roster shifts during the preseason.
