Los Angeles Rams sign Trent McDuffie to record $124 million extension

The Los Angeles Rams have secured cornerback Trent McDuffie with a $124 million extension, which includes $100 million in guaranteed money, setting an NFL record for a cornerback. McDuffie is a two-time Super Bowl champion and a two-time All-Pro, having earned First Team honors as a nickelback in 2023.

To acquire McDuffie, the Rams surrendered a package of picks that included the 29th overall selection in the 2026 draft. Former NFL player and scout Bucky Brooks praised McDuffie’s versatility, noting his ability to transition from a slot defender to a primary outside cornerback while maintaining high-level coverage and diagnostic skills.
